CHURCH PLANTING
Our church is a part of CFM (Christian Fellowship Ministries) based out of Prescott, AZ. The Potter's House (known also as The Door, Victory Chapel Christian Center, La Casa Del Alfarero, Cornerstone, Crossroads Chapel, La Puerta and Christian Fellowship incorporated in Prescott) began in Prescott, Arizona in the early 1970's by Wayman Mitchell. The ‘Jesus People Movement’ was sweeping America and multitudes of young people were being profoundly saved and converted to Christ. While many of the traditional churches closed their doors to the long-haired, denim clad ‘hippies’, Pastor Wayman Mitchell received them with open arms. Pastor Mitchell’s solid grounding in the Word of God and his passion to take the Gospel into all the world was soon imparted into the hearts of many zealous new converts. In a short few years, several young couples were launched into surrounding cities to pioneer new churches. We carry on that vision by launching out men & women to plant new churches and reach other cities with the gospel. |
